Chief Executive Officer

David Flickinger is the Chief Executive Officer at Excel Health, with a notable background that combines military discipline and healthcare business expertise. Starting his business career with Medtronic, David traveled across the U.S. as a Sales Education Representative before becoming a Sales Specialist in Chicago, IL. At NuVasive, he took on crucial roles in M&A diligence, strategic partnerships, and post-M&A commercial integration. He also led the commercial strategy for new products, including the Pulse Platform.

After NuVasive, in 2019, David joined Medicrea, a spine technology startup, where he focused on strategy and sales to secure a successful acquisition by Medtronic in 2020 for $158M. He also started Doc Social in December 2020, a growing platform aimed at enhancing physician education and collaboration.

Before his business endeavors, David served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an Infantry Officer, where he was a Platoon Commander and company-level Executive Officer. After completing his service as a Captain and receiving numerous awards for his leadership, David transitioned into the business sector. At Excel Health, his extensive experience supports the company’s commercial strategies and innovation efforts in healthcare.
